During the Peace Corps interview, one of the questions the recruiter asks you is if you have told anyone about your decision to join, and if so, what their reactions were. The reason they ask this is because reactions can run the spectrum from excitement and pride to confusion and outright objection. Everyone has their own ideas, opinions, and fears about serving as a volunteer, and it is important for applicants to help family and friends understand their decision.
This page is created specifically for my family and friends, to help you understand more about what the Peace Corps is, why I have decided to serve, and the experience I am setting myself up to be a part of.
This page is currently in the works. There is a ton of information on the Peace Corps website, and much of that information will soon be available for you here!
